Ubi gains umbrella protection from the French Government

Now I'm not saying Ubi is in a bad way. Back in March 2004 they reduced their dept to $130 million. Ubi, however seems to have acquired the help of the French government, well according to La Tribune at any rate.

In fact, the good'ol French have been quite nationalistic, also bailing out Infogrames*.

I think an American-French punch up is well on the cards for 2005. We shall see as the Ubi takeover of the year gathers pace.
